About the Author

Bennett Coles has a degree in naval history and served 15 years as an officerin the Royal Canadian Navy. His first novel, Virtues of War , won the CygnusAward grand prize for science fiction and spawned two follow-on novels, plus ashort story in the 2017 anthology Infinite Stars. He lives in Victoria,Canada, with his wife and two sons.
