Vol. 5 contains the secular cantatas: recordings by Koopman, Goebel
(BWV 207, originally released by Archiv), Harnoncourt (BWV 205, 208,
211, 212), Rieu (BWV 206) and Schreier (BWV 36c).
I am not very happy with this choice, but in all fairness: there are
not many recordings of the secular cantatas I am satisfied with.
Koopman is the best of this set, Harnoncourt still interesting but far
from up to date, Goebel disappointing because of soloists, Rieu and
Schreier old-fashioned. My recommendation: look for separate
recordings (Leonhardt on Philips, Bernius on Sony).
