1. Financial statistics suite (StataNow)
Introduces a new set of commands for financial data analysis, including tools for returns, portfolio optimization, risk measurement, and econometric modeling.

• finreturns - Generate financial returns from asset prices
• finportfolio - Portfolio optimization (minimum variance, Sharpe ratio, etc.)
• finsummarize - Summary statistics for financial portfolios
• finvalrisk - Value at risk (VaR) estimation
• finregress capm - CAPM model estimation
• finregress fmb - Fama-MacBeth regression

2. PDF to text conversion
New command pdf2txt converts PDF files into plain text format, enabling easier text extraction for data analysis, parsing, and machine learning workflows.

3. Business calendar downloads
The bcal webcopy command allows users to download and configure trading calendars for major stock exchanges such as NYSE, NASDAQ, LSE, Tokyo, and Shanghai.

4. Graph improvements
Added baroffset(#) option for better control of bar positioning in twoway bar charts.

5. Medical coding update
Updated ICD-10-PCS database (01 Apr 2026 release).

6. Statistical and modeling updates
Improved results handling in kwallis, margins, and estat summarize, along with fixes in interaction handling and estimation outputs.

7. Java runtime update
Bundled OpenJDK updated to version 21.0.11+10-LTS (Azul Systems).

8. Documentation updates
Help system and Stata Journal index updated to version 26(2).

9. Bug fixes and stability improvements
Includes fixes for graph rendering, data editor limitations, SPSS import issues, and margins computation errors.
