Often referred to as “Dubstep’s successor” in EDM circles, the Trap music subgenre originates in hip hop, which appeared in the south of the United States, around the end of the 1990s. In the early 2010s, innovative DJs and electronic producers increased the frequency of beats per minute to 140, the mixed old Trap school was born with Dubstep, Techno and other EDM sub-genres and modern EDM music Trap. There is always one very strong connection between the original Trap and the modern version of EDM: both are characterized by the iconic sound of the Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer.
