Beschreibung:

Ein Auftragskiller namens Tommy Ward tötet in London versehentlich das falsche Opfer - ausgerechnet einen Verwandten des Gangsterbosses Freddy Darby. Um den Konsequenzen zu entgehen, flieht er nach Los Angeles und lässt seinen zehnjährigen Sohn Oliver sowie seine Exfrau Jodi zurück. In der neuen Umgebung nimmt Tommy seine Arbeit wieder auf. Sein Vorgesetzter Benson stellt ihm eine besondere Bedingung: Wenn es gelingt, den siebzehnjährigen Sohn Rick zu einem entschlossenen jungen Mann zu formen, erhält Tommy die Chance auf eine sichere Rückkehr nach London. Von da an begleitet Rick den erfahrenen Killer auf dessen gefährlichen Aufträgen, und gemeinsam entwickeln sie sich zu einem eingespielten Duo.
