Description
Every year, many international students nurse the goal of acquiring a degree from a prestigious institution in the United States. Unfortunately, there are not enough resources that give a step-by-step detail of how to gain admission and secure funding for the education.I decided to design a course based on my own personal experience and journey to gaining admission into graduate school in the United States as well as secure enough funding to allow me attend with the bare minimum cost. This course will go through the steps, first we will cover how to research your choice course and institutions, drawing up a list of target and goal institutions, a little diversion on life in different regions of the country and how to come up with a list of institutions that offer the preferred degree of choice. In the course we also discuss STEM and non-STEM degrees and the implications for post graduation and a career in the United States. This course will discuss;Degree evaluationRequired testsDeadlinesResumesCollege essays/Statement of purposeRecommendations, and lots more.At the end of the course the students will have all the required information to complete their college applications, apply for the correct credentials and on campus employment a proper i-20, it will also touch on how tips for applying for the visa correctly. The one thing that I also noticed by is that I couldn't get any helpful tips on what to do to settle, so that is what I did in this course at the end. I added tips for survival for the first year of education and college life. I hope that I can help as many people that require the help and my email is always open for any other people who may be interested in reaching out for further assistance or require one-on-one assistance.
