In this creative Skillshare class you will learn how to use a hand-made card as inspiration for creating a beautiful applique template to use in any of your future sewing projects. Your class project will be to create an applique design by altering image(s) from a selection of hand-made cards as your inspiration. We'll be using images of hand-made cards, paper, pencil and your imagination to create your unique applique design. I'll take you step-by-step through the entire process by showing you what kinds of cards make for good applique design and how to transpose the graphics from the card into your own altered applique template. This class is for beginner/intermediate sewers and/or textile designers that are familiar with basic drawing and design techniques and understand applique layering techniques, namely using applique film.
