Deliver a responsive multi?device experience
Simply create your course in Storyline 3 and click publish. The new responsive player dynamically adapts to tablet and smartphone screens, providing an optimal view of your course on every device-without you tweaking a thing. It supports touchscreen gestures, hides sidebar menus, eliminates browser chrome, and delivers mobile?friendly playback controls.

Add closed captioning
Make your courses more accessible for all of your learners by adding closed captions. Simply import a caption file for each audio track and video in your course, then style captions using any font you want. You can even use triggers to toggle captions on and off when you've disabled player chrome.

Dial up the interactivity
Let learners manipulate data and slide content with dial interactions. Customize prebuilt dials or create your own from any object, graphic, or image. Use dials to simulate real?world objects and tasks or let learners explore cause?and?effect relationships.

Get your game on
Create game?like interactions easily with new triggers and motion path features. You can now trigger events when objects intersect, stop intersecting, enter the slide, or leave the slide. And take motion path animations to a whole new level by orienting moving objects to the paths they're traveling.

Publish high?performance HTML5 courses
HTML5 output looks better, runs faster, and supports more features than ever before. All accessibility features, including closed captions and custom tab order, are supported in HTML5 output. And you can choose to publish HTML5?only or HTML5?first courses.

Work more efficiently
Let Storyline do more of the work for you. With productivity enhancements, Storyline 3 finds and replaces fonts in seconds, automatically scales and crops images to fit any placeholder shape, and maintains triggers when you swap out placeholder images. You can also now name your motion paths, duplicate and set properties for multiple slide layers at once, and publish a single slide or scene.

• Enhanced: Help improve Storyline 3 by sending usage data to Articulate or opt out by changing your privacy preference.
• Enhanced: It's easier to add variable references to table cells. You no longer have to manually type them. You can add references from the Insert tab on the Storyline ribbon.
• Enhanced: The default value for new true/false variables is false. Since it's the most common starting value, you can create interactions faster.
• Enhanced: We added support for Google Chrome 72 and Safari 12.0.3. If objects disappear when viewing a course in these browsers, install the latest Storyline 3 update and republish your course.
• Enhanced: We added support for the latest autoplay changes in Google Chrome 71+, so learners see a play button when they launch or resume a course that has audio or video on the first slide.
• Enhanced: Storyline 3 users can now open Storyline 360 project files that use the quizzing feature that allows learners to review and retry only the questions they get wrong.
• Enhanced: Storyline 3 is now compatible with Storyline 360 project files where the author imported assets directly into the media library.
• Fixed: On iPhones, the "drag up for fullscreen" hint didn't always disappear, and the on-screen keyboard closed when tapping a text-entry field. On iPads, text could disappear in landscape mode.
• Fixed: In drag-and-drop interactions, drag items could disappear, move unexpectedly after you dropped them, or fail to move with your mouse.
• Fixed: If a layer appeared while learners were tabbing through objects on a slide, the yellow focus indicator would jump back to the first object on the slide.
• Fixed: We fixed some video issues, including volume sliders that stopped working and closed captions that disappeared.
• Fixed: Right-to-left text could be reversed, out of sequence, or spaced incorrectly.
• Fixed: Text with variable references could have the wrong formatting, such as size, color, or line spacing. In some cases, a variable reference was missing from the published course.
• Fixed: Modern text would sometimes become invisible in the Storyline editor but would still show when previewed or published.
• Fixed: A course could freeze or lock up when retrying a quiz from a question bank.
