Argentinian Progressive Folk Rock group founded in 1968. The group was founded by guitarist Gustavo Santaolalla, with Ara Tokatlian on flutes, Alberto Cascino on drums and Guillermo Bordaramp? on bass.
They released a couple singles, which didn't have much following. However, the group met and befriended Danais Wynnycka, who taught them about communitarian life. The group would then release two singles and two LPs - Arco Iris and Tiempo de Resurrecci?n. After that, Cascino left the group because he didn't agree with the members' new lifestyle, being replaced shortly by Julio Ledezma and finally Horacio Gianello. They recorded several songs with RCA that were later released in the compilations Arco Iris, Suite No. 1, Blues de Dana and a second Suite No. 1 with different cover art and tracklist. After releasing Sudam?rica and Inti-Raymi, Santoalalla and Gianello leave the group and form Soluna. Tokatlian and Wynnycka at the core of the group, who would release Agitor Lucens V in 1975.
The group scored the hit single Mana?a Campestre and kept releasing music until 1977, when Ara, Dana and Ledezma left the country soon after releasing Los Elementales to live in California, USA, due to the military dictatorship. Together with Hartt Stearns and several artists, the group kept touring and releasing folk and new age oriented cassettes and LPs. Danais passed away in 2003, putting the group in a short hiatus, but they have since reunited and released another album.
