This course is an exhaustive demonstration of the effective use of ZBrush to create a hyper-realistic character. Hossein Diba provides a thorough analysis of his workflow, tools and techniques, using the wrestler of Steve Austin as the character in question. Sculpting a realistic character begins with a low-quality base mesh, then goes into sculpting the main forms, where Hossein focuses on improving the basic mesh and sculpting indicative anatomical details such as the ears and nose on the head.




Then he begins to process the secondary forms. Improving the shape of the muscles and facial anatomy, the author analyzes in detail the reference to complete the work on facial similarity. Details of the third order are added with the help of alpha channels and different techniques with brushes - these are small wrinkles and pores that give the skin the final element of realism. After the cast is ready, Hossein shows how to use the Fibermesh to create facial hair, and creates a basic texture with polygonal drawing. Finally, the character is given a pose as a transposition master, and the renderer for the presentation is created using the render passes from ZBrush, which are processed in Photoshop. Artists of any level who are interested in creating realistic 3D characters are inspired by this workshop demonstration from Hossein Diba, who generously shares his experience, thoughts and techniques.
